Lakefront Retreat

A conceptual vision for turning a lakefront property in rural North Carolina into a micro-resort and event venue. The site splits into two distinct zones — a wooded peninsula developed as a short-term rental retreat, and a lakeside beach developed as an event and ceremony destination — unified by a shared arrival sequence and a consistent material and landscape language. The architecture borrows from tropical resort traditions — pavilion forms, dramatic rooflines, indoor-outdoor living, natural materials, layered landscaping — reinterpreted for the North Carolina climate to create a one-of-a-kind destination.
